Ok I am not sure where to start, ah I did some research over the internet and not sure what else to search up so I am asking for some advice here from people where I am sure have done this,
I think I am looking for a Ethernet hub?
My router has 4 RJ-45 connections and I need something to plug into one of the connections and have more connections, (dont really care if its slower its only for a few game systems) I saw an old friend do it once while setting up some school computers. He did not have enough plug in for the computer Ethernet so he plugged in this what looks a hub that had about 5 more connections and plugged the rest of the computers into it. It was a blue linksys btw. so I guess that is what I am looking for
my current router is a Linksys WRT54G2 / GS2
and my internet cable speed is 10mb down 1 mb up
I need help looking for a hub that wont decrease my speeds to bad since as I said it is for a few game systems. I tried looking up on newegg and amazon for hubs, but found very few that weren't to expensive from company's i am not sure to trust.
so where else can I look for one that's not to expensive but can do what I need?

cat5's will leave you stuck at 10/100. cat5e's allow for 1000mbit connection aka 1gbit con.

All my cables for 5e's but when it comes to the hub I cant find many, I finding more switches then hubs which Im not sure what those are either

As far as you're concered switches and hubs are the same thing. Switches are a more adv. version so if you can find one of those use that, if not a hub will work just fine.
By the way you need to make sure the hub/switch you install has its own IP.
A very quick google search led me to a few sites that explained everything you need to know.
Edit:
Unless you're moving large files from one computer to another then any 10/100 mbit hub will work. No point on having a 1gigbit hub for internet if your connection is only 10mb.

Understood, I mean I do do research honestly, but for me Im not the best at grasping the concept its easier if someone can explain it in a different way. but thank you, can anyone give me some good websites to find some? besides amazon and newegg?

As others have said, what you want is a switch.
Any basic switch you find somewhere from someone like Netgear or the like will be more than enough for what you need.

I really, don't understand how most of you can be rude, I am in college and taken 5 classes, 3 at which were accelerated, and got 4 A's and 1 B. Just cause I don't know everything does not mean I am dumb.
