first time I went to foxnews.com this year. Thought this article was pretty good explanation on the Stuxnet virus. Found it very interesting to read.

We should hire these guys to finish TT patch!

Regardless of the source, the explanation of Stuxnet is really good here.

It's almost as if it's written for a target audience other than typical Fox News reader.

You know, someone who wouldn't go "Wtf is a Belarus?" if they read it.

I find it hard to believe Windows 7 was running on most of the plant's equipment. Nay, I find that nearly impossible to believe.

My guess is that IF they truly were running something W7'ey it was Windows Embedded Standard 7.

You leave my parents out of this. "You want to visit a third world country?! What a waste of a vacation."

Also, that was one crazy awesome virus.

It's not uncommon for facilities of various industries to utilize Windows 7 as their platform of choice. You would be surprised.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY!

Iran made the "virus" and "attacked" themselves to scare other nations from expanding their nuclear arsenal!

OR!

A time traveler from the future came to deter World War III from starting!

Yes, that one makes the most sense. Let's go with time traveler. Very Happy

I thought it was crazy that the virus was targeted to a Germany component, then it takes off from within the Iranian nuclear facility. This was one heck of a virus and whoever did it is an Einstein of computers/networks/components.

Windows 7 is actually better than XP when it comes to business structures on the IT department, of course, They probably use a mixture of OS's inside that top secret place but it's most certainly no surprise that they use Windows 7 there, however if they were using Vista...

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

How is that impossible to believe? It's Iran... they probably just torrented a copy or two and installed it on the machines.

I didn't think Vista was too bad, although it didn't hold up to XP.
But I use Win7 now and it makes Vista look absolutely terrible.

Wow, that was a good read. The "Zero Days" part was intriguing.
