DVI is the exact same as HDMI, except it doesn't carry Audio. Most monitors now ship with DVI/VGA/HDMI now, and since so many people hook up their computers to HDTV's, having HDMI with pass through audio is a huge plus. A lot of the lower end cards like the 4670/5670/5650 have HDMI to as they are great HTPC cards. It's good to have HDMI instead of VGA in my opinion.

So in other words you still can have two moniters running on one card? since just spent 300 on to 21 inch wide screen flat moniters with vga AND dvi connections and my vid card has two dvi, and i like it the way it is lol

I have 3 monitors running on one card, but the third monitor has to be run via displayport. My card has 1X HDMI, 2X DVI, 1X Display Port. There are lots of cables that are HDMI-DVI, so really it doesn't matter which end is what as long as you have one of those cables, which are very cheap.

P.S. I hope you have the world's best 21" monitor for $300. Nice ones run for about $140 here.

no I got two, what happen was I saw an Acer monitor on sale for 109 bucks, form staples (I was trying to find something not to much money but also supports dvi, so I bought two of them, which came out to be like 300, both are 109 x 2 + tax + recycle tax? (ya idk either) = 309
