Hey guys.
Where I work at Amazom.com a position for a IT tech has opened up and one of the requirements is knownledge of linux. The only time I have used linux is when my Ren server many years ago was on a Linux box.
So I need a quick crash course on Linux but I dont know where to start, which version I should use or anything. Would I beable to use something like VMware to install it.
I know there is a lot to linux and im not expecting to master it. I just need to know basics + network related stuff.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

Linux documentation, guides and how-tos are astoundingly sparse. This (combined with a slower rate of GUI improvement) is why we all run windows, and everything that entails. I'd recommend installing Ubuntu at home, and play about (trying to get it to see and work with window networks, especially printers, is often entertaining). The only real way to learn is by doing.
(Whilst this remains the case, Linux won't gain mainstream acceptance, and we're all dommed to Ballmer / Jobs, both of whom are called "Steve"... conspiracy?!)

Supporters of Proposition 8 will argue California does not discriminate against gays, as the current law allows them to get married - as long as they wed a partner of the opposite sex.
