It won't surprise fans if fans are expecting it! If there's a HL2 announcement, it'll probably be that Half-Life has actually ended and all the characters were dead all along since HL1. Gman is just meant to be God/Freeman's Father screwing around with Gordon Freeman's life and Valve decided to stop working on it after they realised LOST gave the entire ending away.
