The buildup to it seems very scripted with him practicing and talking to himself in the mirror in preparation to face the bullies. Then when the fight escalated in the lunchroom, its like as if the writers stepped back and just let it happen, i.e, a random unscripted animal rage of a fight.
I was thinking I would see him use the nunchuk in a fancy kind of way but no, he was just flinging that thing every fucking direction he could! It's seemed more realistic.

Yea I agree. I like martial arts movies where you get to see the build up and training beforehand. The usage of the nunchucks was pretty realistic yea.

the nunchucks were the only non-corny part...the rest were kicks with no power and girly punches that obviously only hit the air
eastern promises has the best fight scene, but i guess there's no "build up and training beforehand" for the weirdos
