Vice City. You bought the best 80's mix ever for $39.99 and it just so happened to come with a really fucking awesome game.

It also didn't require you to travel across an expansive map to do menial tasks or to meet people like SA, nor did it toss out all the mania, and tongue-in-cheek hilarity like GTA4 did.

Now that i think of it... Vice City IS better... i change my vote to VC everything mentioned plus amazing gameplay and playability and replayability... GTA SA gets old after a while... yet i can still play VC for hours on end over and over(just recently reinstalled VC on my comp) not to mention i think the music on VC is better than that of SA

I nearly shat myself when I first hit the drink in SA, only to actually shit myself when I realized my character could swim.

Anyhow, I forgave VC for making you die when you hit the water, figuring that Miami's waters were a) shark infested, b) horribly polluted, and c) your character was too coked out to swim anyways.

Vice City would win if it didn't have the absurd downing mechanic and if the story wasn't so mediocere. Went with 4 for the awesome story.

I'll give you that one but... to me playing gta 4 after making all possible choices in missions i just cant do it(thought running around doing the usual shit is fun)... also THE MUSIC FUCKING SUCKS (GTA 4 Chat radio FTW)Satisfied

edit: also after playing SA and VC and GTA4 and GTA3 for several hours it seems SA and VC are the only in that list that have the random drivers that chase you down if you hit the cars (while inside their own car)

San Andreas would have to be #1 for me, with Vice City being a close second.

GTAIV was a bag of dicks.

I'm gonna install my VC, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any good graphics mods that make the game look a bit better.

One I used to know of had enough bloom to blind Scrin, and that wasn't awesome at all.

San Andreas was far too complicated. too many girlfriends, boyfriends, etc to worry about, you have to eat sleep shit or you will randomly die in the middle of a mission, you have to go to the gym or your character turns to shit and can't fight for his worthless life, you can't understand half the shit the slack jawed fucks are saying, it takes forever to get all the stupid tags, shellfish, dildos etc unless you get a map to find them, and in general the graphics and soundtrack were shit (except rage against the machine).

TBOGT is win.

the most there is... is i think just some HD vehs go to This Site i only chose a few... id suggest having this for VC and if you plan to or currently have SA installed this is for SA... I dont feel like linking HD vehs or anything... but i just gave the best site i know of and the best tools

The only GTA games I've played are GTA III, GTA:SA, GTA IV, and GTA:TLatD.

I played SA a lot. I don't know why people think the stat keeping is so confusing. I really had to try to neglect them if there were going to hinder me in anyway... Seriously, if I wanted to die of starvation, I would have had to go afk for 5 hours for it to first give me a warning that I need something to eat..

When IV came out, I wasn't really planning on getting it. I heard a lot of good things about it though and was soon taken in. I actually really liked the game. It was an INCREDIBLE jump from their previous games. The story had that same GTA feel to it that the other games did except this time it actually felt like the characters weren't just empty shells of pixles.

The only gripes I had with GTA IV were the:
1. Lack of weapons
2. Lack of customization (custom cars, variety of cloths, etc)
3. Lack of a music player

I bought Episodes from Liberty City and have been playing The Lost and the Damned. Afterward I'm going to start The Ballad of Gay Tony.

As for my favorite, I'm going to go with GTA IV.

I remember buying that business with the boat race missions and dying several times after completing said missions.

I only went on massacres in GTA1 and played the GTA3 trilogy...Vice City was clearly the best out of those 3.

Fuck that. Vladivostock FM was awesome, LCHC actually introduced me to new music (Imagine that!), and when I got bored of hearing it all there was always Independence FM, something that Vice City never let me do.

Nah, I got it for the 360.

I tend to be more of a console gamer than a PC gamer, but I do play a lot of PC games though.

On the other hand, in San Andreas, you'll never be able to hold up a hardware store, get five wanted stars, and tear away in a golf cart being chased by feds while you're blasting Anthrax's 'Madhouse' on V-Rock.

Now that's gaming gold.
