I dont know if any of you ever heard of this site but its unbelievable what they do.
They release all kinds of information kept from the public.
http://wikileaks.org/
Latest news they have:
Quote: | Collateral Murder
WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuters news staff. Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded. For further information please visit the special project website www.collateralmurder.com.

What's reassuring is that there are people in the "high places" who would risk everything to leak this.

Oh, and in before angry American patriots who will stop at nothing to defend their country no matter what it has done or is going to do.
|
It's not good but I don't see why you say "AMERICANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" it's not like anyone here has anything to do with it .. I wasn't the one flying the helicopter... it could have been anyone from any country shooting those people .. it's sad regardless of where they're from...
I watched the video ... the people shooting thought the dudes were dangerous... it wasn't like "hey lets just shoot these iraqis for no reason and then not tell anyone" ... they really thought the dudes were dangerous and they did what they had to do. Sometimes mistakes happen in warzones.

Their policy is to get the largest media and political impact possible with each leak and if that means setting up websites with titles like that then so be it.

@Ziggy Sobotka: It's not that I didn't knew about it yet, it's just that i didn't know you all did xD
@Starbuzzz: Agreed
@Canadacdn: Even if you look objective to this it's just wrong.
@bakerrrr: It is to stir up the media ofcource but with a very good reason. This needs discussion and needs to be seen.

You can see at some points where they say "WEAPON" that it isn't a weapon.
(Sometimes this isn't really clear though)
Things like "All you need to do is pick up a weapon" does say something about the guys in the Apache. They where looking for the smallest excuse to shoot.
Also the statements some of their 'bosses' made, are not what you see in the movie. IE:
"We couldn't move in the Bradleys because we would drive over the bodies". The movie shows that they just drive over the bodies and laugh about it!

What's this Colbert everyone keeps talking about? Is it some kind of advertising agency or something?
Last I heard Wikileaks was running out of money and couldn't afford to pay their hosting costs... looks like they have found some now since they are back online.

Stewart's show was funny when I was in high school. I guess it's something you grow out of.
The real humour comes from the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. Because unlike Stewart, they're serious.
