Double click the exe for XCC then quickly hold down shift and it should stop it from scanning your files.

the way i do it is take that file and put on ur desktop or something then after the scan is done put it back into its normal folder

Sometimes it appears to freeze, but it is still working. If you minimize, Ctrl+Alt+Delete, or open a window over the program, it will freeze (if its still loading). Generally the first, complete,load will take the longest. First time I loaded it, it took about 4 minutes. After that, 10 seconds.
