Hey guys, I haven't been here forever, wow it's bee awhile. I was feeling nostalgic and looking through some articles about Renegade, when I decided I really missed playing this game and would love to give it a shot. Are there still multiplayer servers out there? Are there people still playing? This game is 8 years old (I've been playing it for 7 of those years) and I've never come across another game like it. It has a really unique multiplayer experience that keeps bringing me back.
But enough of me rambling. Is it worth me to dig out the disk and install it?

the TFD serials may not work online Back of TFD | ONLINE FOR GAMES IN THIS COMPILATION MAY BE DISCONTINUED AND IS NOT GUARANTEED
|
also i would return it, tell your problem, and buy it at amazon

A48943849 wrote on Sat, 20 March 2010 18:18 | So... why the hell did I just buy TFD? I'm in the same spot as I was before I bought this thing: no valid serial number meaning no online play. Did I miss something or am I just plained fucked?
|
nahh, i got TFD too, and my serial dont work online, so it might be a valid reason to get your money back, as it did not work as intended, sorta
gladly i found my 2002-3 version, dusted it off, and installed it

A48943849 wrote on Sat, 20 March 2010 18:22 | So there's no way to work around this? The serial included with TFD will not work online? Not even if I install RenGuard or update to 1.03 or any of this other crap?
Thanks for being patient and answering my questions. I'm just a little pissed I spent $20 for a serial so I could play online and I still can't.

Some of the serials work, but not all of them work online. Thats why its so f** lame by EA to do that, but o well. Best way to get a valid serial is finding your old one, or buy a old copy of the game, as i linked you
you could also see in your regedit if your serial is added there, if it is, the serial is invalid, if not, enter it, and it might work
