Still very much alive. We've even been having some fun community wars, too.
There's also still a good number of mods going for it, too- the big ones being A Path Beyond, Reborn, Apocalypse Rising, and Roleplay 2.
Also, there's an unoffical patch that's in the works that will be made somewhat official. So if you ever heard of "4.0" or "TT", that's what it's referring to.

Probably the first stop, but as you get used to ren again, move onto the other servers for a higher standard of gameplay.
