This may well be the end of Faggotfox. It's nothing more than a bloated, RAM-hungry Chrome now.

That's actually been there for quite awhile, but only the recent Dev versions could use it.

Chrome just got that much better. I have a few extensions installed and I really enjoy the bookmark sync. My desktop pc and laptop are now the same set of bookmarks which saves me time when doing school work.

If a browser is significantly affecting your computer's performance it's time for an upgrade.

All browsers are fast, but they slow down when you add addons to them. Although sometimes it is computers that slow them down aswell....such as if there are more process running then normal or your CPU is slow.

Obviously not. What does Faggotfox have over Chrome now, besides rabid fanboys?

I never really understood why Firefox is so popular. The only good reason I heard was all the plugins, and that's just because the users made them - they could have easily congregated to another browser instead.

Because back in the day it was pretty much just IE and Firefox being the only popular browsers. Similar to PC vs Macs right now.

Then Chrome came along. It lacked some features of Firefox though, so people still like Firefox. Though, with Chrome having plugins now, I'm gonna wait until it gets a good noscript and adblock plugin to switch.

Honestly, the only reason you use those things is because you don't feel safe using FireFox. Chrome already has loads of security integrated, and updated as often as needed. Stuff like NoScript is unnecessary when you're already surfing in a safe browser

No... it's because I like to be safe while browsing and so I can allow the sites I want.

No browser is completely secure, you can't say any browser is. Razz

PS. Chrome is also not exactly compatible with everything. Razz

Noscript also blocks tons of ads that slip by adblock.

It's compatible with everything that matters. Unless you're a Linuxfag you should be fine.

They're already developing version for Mac and Linux, that you can get early access to:

It's not just a question of security. Using AdBlock and NoScript I can prevent all the junk I am not interested in looking at or using from being downloaded to my PC, hence reducing page load times by reducing the amount of stuff to be loaded. Why should I wait an extra 10 seconds to load every single page because some JavaScript wants to fart around loading useless crud in the background or because some silly flashing advertisements I won't click on anyway are being downloaded?

I don't use Firefox because it's the fastest or most secure, I use it because I happen to like the layout of the user interface and the features it offers. If people have a problem with my personal preference they can go flush their head down a toilet.
