Ok, so my mouse has a side button that I had set to V for freeaim. I have even had the mouse working on this laptop before, but now it doesn't work in Renegade. It still works for everything else, like if I click the side button it will type "V".
I have tried redownloading the drivers and configuration from microsoft's website, but nothing changes... Any ideas?

Yea my freeaim is still set to "V", I tried changing both my mouse button and freeaim to other keys... the button works just fine outside of Renegade, but does nothing ingame.

What operating system are you running on? Vista or 7? Are you running Renegade as admin? If yes, try running it without administrator privileges. Programs that are run under with administrative privileges with UAC enabled (like it should be...) are protected from programs running as a standard user, and the software that actually outputs the "V" might be running as a standard user.

I am running Vista. I am pretty sure Renegade is running as admin... can't rememver why, but I thought it needed to be. I will go check on all of this and reply back.
