I have an annoying problem with my mouse it really has caused a few
problems in games like starcraft and opening a few files.

My mouse on occasion turns a single click into a double click.

Ie: i click on a file then it opens a second file within that file because of this.
Or i attempt to highlight a single letter but because it counted as
double it made the entire word highlight.

Any ideas why? Huh

Probably dirt on the sensors under the buttons on the mouse, if you have a compressed air can try pointing it beneath each of the buttons and giving it a quick blast.

That or buy a new mouse, they are hardly expensive... you can get a decent Logitech mouse for about £15.

If it has no warranty (or the warranty has expired) and you're comfortable with doing it, you can probably unscrew that and expose the underside...

Renguard is a wonderful initiative

I'd suggest just getting a new one, you shouldn't worry over a cheap mouse like that. Look for a good mouse on sale, I got the Logitech MX620 on sale for $30 one day Smile

EDIT: Borrow a friend's mouse if you can just to see if that is the problem, before you go buy one.
