I use Facebook[ 61 votes ]
1. I use none 22 / 36%
2. I use both 4 / 7%
3. I use Twitter 4 / 7%
4. I use Facebook 31 / 51%

I think both of them are useless, and especially facebook is used only for spying on the other people. I use none of them.

what do you think?

sorry for my English

That has to be the lamest excuse not to use them I've ever heard.

I don't use them simply because I don't want to get sucked into their appeal. But a wide spread of people do use them and it is effectively a way to socialize with people over the internet. I also don't want to be responsible for making sure I update my situation every 10 seconds.

"Spying" on people means you secretly observe someone in order to learn information they don't want you to know. Twitter and facebook do not count as spying because the information is publicly announced by the person and they invite you to read it.

luv2pb on both.

I haven't actually twittered in a while. If you play Mafia Wars on FB hit me up.

They are usless and stupid but can be fun. I consider these forums stupid and useless yet I still visit them daily ... actually most things I do on the internet are useless and stupid. FB does have some usefull functions. I recently started using it to get in touch with some olds friends from high school. I also recently FB stalked the first girl that ever rejected me (lolgoodtimes).

I use facebook, but twitter's pretty much facebook without everything else except the status update thing.

I've only seen like one or two times where it's somewhat useful for someone. 90% of the time it's people "tweeting" about shit no one cares about.

I don't really see the point to twitter. It makes sense for different forms of media to be using it (for news, updates, sales, etc.) but the common person can really care less about what you are doing at the moment.

Twitter is good for companies and actual celebrities (I'd probably follow Stephen Fry's twitter, for example, he normally has something interesting to say) but a public feed for the average person is useless.

A private twitter feed amongst friends could be nice, but TBH facebook already provides for communication between friends when you're several hundred miles apart...

Social networking is fucking stupid. I mean, finding old friends and talking to ones you don't see very often or live far away, but most people take it way too far. There's a lot of useless shit on Facebook/MySpace/Twitter etc.

The road I cruise is a bitch now, baby.

Agreed, I just use mine for the occasional communication. It IS convenient for when they don't have AIM or something, and just keeping in touch with people in general, but I hate how everyone plays retarded games and etc on facebook, then they try and get you into it...

I like the idea of Twitter, and it's a godsend to enterprises that need to transmit pieces of info to a mass audience quickly. But for updating everyone on the status of your cat's intestinal blockage, or how your latte was watery, then nothx.

Don't do facebook either. I have a cellphone.

I use both. Twitter is great because it keeps me closer to my family when we can't see each other every week or sometimes every month. Since I have their "tweets" going to my cell phone, it's like being in a chat room with my family all day.

As for Facebook, I get to keep in touch with people who I would have otherwise never talked to again even though I do care how they're doing.

Maybe those of you who are still in high school don't "get" it, but when you get to be ten years out of high school or college, or you or your friends have moved away, there are certain friendships and co-worker friendships that you don't want to lose. Without these social networks, people you were really close to just go away without a common bond like a shared school, employment, or geographical location to hold you together.

Facebook's better than Twitter for that though, to be honest.

Twitter's been used right in a few situations- for example, the youtube video series Marble Hornets- but usually it's misused.
