Tiberian Sun, I played it all the time on my old laptop in the living room, while my Mum and Dad watched television. I loved the skirmish mode as Nod building up a self sufficient base that the AI could not defeat, but I could leave for hours, with self repairs etc etc...

For me it was the Tiberian Dawn demo back in 1995, though I had been playing Westwood games prior to TD.
Though mind you, I've played Renegade the most, followed by TD, RA2, TS, and RA1. I've played Generals plenty, but C&C3 only a dozen or so times, and RA3 twice.

I played Renegade first.
Then Red Alert 2 > Yuri's Revenge > Tiberian Dawn demo > Generals demo > Tiberian Sun demo > Tiberian Sun > Generals > Tiberian Dawn > Red Alert 1 > Zero Hour > Tiberium Wars > Kane's Wrath > Red Alert 3 > Tiberian Twilight Beta.
Yea, I'm all over the place.
I've played Renegade the most. My favorite universe is the Tiberium universe but RA3 is my favorite RTS C&C so far.

I remember I had played Tiberian Dawn on the Nintendo 64. Was pretty dang fun, liked it alot, but I don't remember it too much. Then I got Red Alert: Retaliation for the Playstation 1. That's when I started to really get into C&C- playing lots of skirmishes and having fun with the ant missions and etc. I remember seeing TS but never really played it as I didn't own it.
Came across RA2, that was loads of fun. I remember especially liking that I could take over cities via garrisoning.
Later, I got something called the C&C Collection. Had TS, RA2, FS, YR, and Renegade. That's when I got into Renegade and TS alot. TS definitely got my attention the most though, couldn't believe how awesome it was... also started to learn how to mod on TS  .

Haha, that's almost the same as me. I played the C&C 1 demo to death, off some PC magazine cover disk, but I couldn't afford to buy the full game because I was just a kid. I didn't manage to get hold of the full game until much later.
Part of the fun was making those demo missions last as long as possible. Especially the one where you had a full base and you started with six Mammoth Tanks that you couldn't replace. I was disappointed to find that the real version of the mission just gave you some Medium Tanks instead. But even with the Mammoth Tanks, I would find that mission really hard. The Obelisk would keep getting rebuilt and I couldn't figure out that it would stop if you killed the Construction Yard.

I obviously also played nearly all expansion packs, just forgot to add them  .
Yeah, the demo came with no instructions at all, really. I remember that I kept getting "silo's needed" and couldn't figure out wtf they wanted. I also remember finding out on accident after i already played a LOT of games that you could scroll down the list in the vertical scrollbar  .

Liquedv2, yew need to branch out a little on your thinking. I'm sure you'll twig it soon enough, but you're barking up the wrong tree.
The map is budding with new ideas and great game-play, AitcraftKiller just has to get to the root of the problem, it seems to have him pretty stumped right now.
Leaf him alone, he's doing a good job. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say this map isn't fir you.
Anyway, this thread is really starting to lumber along, all this over some sap's map? I thought the game was dead, but this thread at least is poplar. It makes me pine for the days of yonder.
At the end of the day, life's a Beech.. Who wood of thought it?
