Wiki Question: Clans Page Locked? [message #413268]

Hello, since there is no help forum for the wiki, I'll be posting here.

I'm having trouble editing the "Renegade Clans" page on the RenegadeWiki. I'm trying to add information for [MC] Clan ( [Mission Coop] Clan ) as well as a link to our forums.

I have an account on the wiki, but it tells me the page is locked from editing. Earlier though at the beginning of the page it says this:

"This is a list of most, if not all of the known Clans within the Renegade communities around the world, sorted alphabetically by Clan Name. If your clan isn't on here and you think it should be, go ahead and add it, but keep in mind that . . ."

So is this page supposed to be open for clans to add themselves in, or do we have to talk to an administrator or an authorized Wiki user?

I think you'd have to ask someone with permission to update it for you, not just anyone is allowed to do it now because of what used to be put on it...

Lone0001 is refering to the fact that some "creative" individuals with too much spare time and far too little in the way of other responsibilities or activities decided to cover the Wiki with porn. Sad

LOL I just took the time to check out the listed clans on ren wiki

15 of them are more or less active on ren
4 had less than 10 ren related forum posts in 2009
8 havent had ren activity on their forum for way more than 1 year
31 arnt even existing anymore

so thats about 40 (!) that can be removed. Would be cool If only the active were allowed to have servers listed on xwis

Ah that is too bad someone took advantage of it. It would explain why there are so many inactive and broken links though like Wiener said.

I guess I'll see about contacting an administrator about this soon.
