Includes setting up brenbot.

It is for GameSpy and does not require you to have a FDS Serial which
is used for WOL (XWIS) mode.

Even if his tutorial is biased towards his own IRC network Razz (Not that there's anything wrong with that, just saying ^^)

Oh, and FYI, it goes straight from Step 2 to Step 4, although I assume that's because at some point you took out the bit about the FDS Monitor thing.

Also you didn't cover anything RenGuard related in that tutorial, such as disabling it if you don't like it (or disabling it as much as possible in BR 1.52, which just leaves it running quietly in the background not interfering with anything)

I took out the FDSMonitor thing yes because the program apperantly
needs a special driver to function which i dont know of how to
install. (it works on our server because we installed that stuff
years ago but i cant remember how we done it)
I forgot to renumber the step Razz

I also didnt write anything on renguard to actually promote renguard so they wont disable it.
If they really want to disable it they can figure it out.
Unless you are insisting i add it to the tutorial.

For the irc thing yes i did that to promote the use of irc.mp-gaming.com
But they can change it to anything they want anyway so Razz

Fair enough, it will need some tweaks when 1.54 is released (whenever that happens), but for now it's good.

Great tutorial. But the server is suppose to show up in the gamespy server list right? I have everything up and running but it's not there.Huh

If you run the server from the same pc as you run gamespy, you can't see the server.

You can join it by using for example RenIP and connect to the LAN
IP of your server. In most cases 192.168.0.1

To find out your lan ip open a command prompt and type:
netstat -an

It should then list your LAN IP as well.

Also you need open and forward UDP ports in fw or router.
