You know what? I think that this forums could update to 3.0.0 so we can get the new features.

These forums could use something like an image re-sizer for posts and avatars. That way, people can use whatever avatars they want, without having to worry about scaling them down to fit the appropriate size, and admins could stop worrying about pictures of gigantic plecos as far as the eye could see.

That would ruin the point of PLECOS...

I agree. We need a 'rep point' system so people can get even angrier around here. It's mighty awesome when people get really upset over a colour-coded box containing a negative integer.

If this was a phpBB forum, then all this would have happened already. But Crimson got a phpBB trauma a while back when someone exploited an unsolved security hole and since then we're stuck with this "forum software" (note the "").

Every piece of software has security holes. But phpbb gets updated regularly.

The upgrade came out a couple of weeks ago. I'm celebrating the holiday today, then I have to work at my store all weekend. I should have time to do it within the next week, though. It seems most people haven't had any problems so that's a good sign, at least.
Once you have a forum that's a frequent target for script kiddies, you can talk to me about which forum software to use. Any software in wide use is going to be a target and holes will be found. Sacrificing a few minor features for a forum that hasn't been hacked in 3 or 4 years (can't remember how long it's been) is well worth it.
I'm the bawss.
