@JohnDoe -
1) Free aim is very useful and every rene "pro" uses it. Wonder why. Just because you can't use it, doesn't mean its useless, such as the point you made of it.
2) The design of the G5 fits most peoples hands very nicely, read some reviews.
3)The surface for laser (note; NOT optical) mice doesn't really matter, its accurate on almost any surface. Useless point.
4)can change sensitivity on the fly, or can set your sensitivity precisely. Can make it very responsive or unresponsive. (400 to 2000 DPI, and everything in between) Then again, most quality mice can do this. Another useless point imo.
5)I don't see what resolution has to do with anything.
6)He is probably using your average, everyday optical mouse. The G5, being extremely cheap nowadays, is a very good buy, even if to just experience the difference a quality mouse offers over an optical. If he doesn't like it, every electronics store that I know, has return policies, even if for just credit.

1. You have no idea who I am, no elite player uses free aim constantly - but how would you know? Canada only produced 3 pros (Homey, aZ and GotWiskey) and you're neither of them, you're just a random n00b.
2. The design of the G5 is terrible for my needs. I play with a fingertip grip (despite having large hands) and prefer the weight distribution of a symmetrical mouse and a flatter shape. You obviously have no idea what I'm talking about here as these thoughts never even crossed your mind when stupidly buying whatever felt nice in some reviewer's hand.
3. I use the Steelseries I-1 and a laser mouse will NOT track on it. There have been issues throughout the years with laser sensors, which is why the pros in CS and other FPS all use optical mice - take your own advice and read some reviews.
4. No pro will ever change sensitivity on the fly. Every second counts, so having to press another button before firing a weapon is the dumbest thing I can think of. What pros will do is assign custom sensitivity settings for each weapon.
5. Part 5 of you demonstrating how little you know about competitive gaming and mice. What do you think will happen when when the same sensor setting has to cover 1920 pixels instead of 600 pixels? In which case will you cover more of the screen with 1 swipe of the wrist?
6. So you want him to buy every mouse and return it before he finds the right one? More useful advice for this thread I guess...
Reborn, I'm willing to provide you with personalized "pro" advice, but if you don't bother to reply to my list, suit yourself.
