You're comparing apples and oranges. Obviously you would still be charged with murder.. for one the person signing the contract to be killed was obviously not well mentally...
Release of liability IS that easy. Just like signing an accident waver.. xxx will not be held responsible if you get injured during your time on our property blah blah. If they tick the box agreeing to it, they agreed to it and all liability is transferred to them.
This is true under the law where our website is hosted.

I'm really not convinced of that, Raven. I googled a bit and found only one specific examples:
http://cyberlaw.stanford.edu/node/5426 (Germany)
Quote: | the court found that the forum operator could be found co-culpable by merely providing a platform for an inadmissible comment. In other words, the operator does not have to agree with the content or have entered the content directly. Furthermore, it does not matter whether the content came from the operator or from external parties, nor does it matter whether the forum provider has any knowledge of the contents. All that matters is that the forum operator provide its own website for the propagation of said content. The judges did, however, say that liability could be prevented if the operator of the website specifically states that the content of a particular comment does not represent its own opinion; it does not suffice if the forum provider generally states that the opinions in user comments are not its own."

It's German and German law may be stricter than American law. But what about e.g. Warez forums. How would they be shut down if there wasn't any liability of the forum?
I'm not an expert, maybe you can give me some more info on the issue?
You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

German Law varies quite a bit from USA law. I'm no expert but I have taken many internet law and "e-law" classes for my University studies and know a thing or two
As far as I know, Warez forums usually get busted for them hosting the content rather than just links being posted to the content. Also, being hosted in countries where stuff like that is outlawed will obviously get them shut down.
Anyways, just for your information, I have decided to take down the BB release on Jelly specifically because it does violate the GNU/GPL and I'm a big supporter of open source software.
