For those here who have a Wii: did any of you get the announcement about the 'refund' for the Internet Channel? (Basically you have to get a NES game to compensate, they don't even give you an option for points for some reason Listen )

I used mine to get Super Mario 3 and I'm playing it with my brother. Good times. Thumbs Up

I got the internet channel when it was originally free a few years ago.. so I got no such refund Sad

It only applies if you payed for the internet channel. If you downloaded it before they started charging for it, then you don't get any compensation.

i got that message ages ago. its weird that they dont let me spend it as i like. somehow i am forced to download a nes game. but such a promotion shows that how nintendo differs from other companies.

It's because if they give you the points back, there is no guarantee that you will spend them. By only letting you chose a game, they are saving money while still giving players something tangible.
