This is in no way related to rush limbaugh. Look at the site for God's sake. Does that look like a link to rushlimbaugh.com ? No. I don't like the fact that Americans are considered teenagers by these people. We care about what we care about, not what Stephen Chu wants us to care about. I also don't like the fact that it sterotypes teenagers as careless, hurtful people as most of the ones I know don't fit that sterotype.

In regards to your first comment regarding Rush Limbaugh, the Wall Street Journal editorial pages arn't much better.
Futhermore, Chu is right, tbh. We have been shit when it comes to conserving energy and combatting global warming(Though China and India have been far worse). This is mostly the fault of the previous administration for ignoring the issue (even denying that the issue even exists..) and instead worrying about the interests of the oil companies. However, the blame also lies with average Americans who refuse to make simple changes in their lifestyle to combat the problem.

Most of you replying have completely misunderstood the point of the thread. He never said he was offended by the topic that the guy is talking about... what's offensive is that he stereotypes teenagers. Regardless of what he is talking about, he is still stereotyping, which is resentful.
He could be talking about proof that Luna isn't made of cheese, but if he said something negative and related it to how teenagers act, it would be equally as offensive. This thread isn't about politics about the guy in question being an asshat.
