I am guessing instead of saving it optimized it was just saved normal causing it to save as a PSD instead of GIF. It works now, but it is kinda fuzzy when it is enlarged.

Ya that's what I was doing, the tuts I found never said rather to save as normal or optimized

thanks bro

do you know if theres another way to get a pic like that to go thru every single color? (like if i were to slide the hue over till the end instead of having to selected a diff color then save the slide?

Just give it a little time to load through the animation once, then it will speed up.

How to do it: Go to window - animation (dunno if you've done that?)
Then click through the panes at the bottom, select delay time etc. Just look around this is easy.

Lastly go to file - save for web and devices. and select gif file format.

What I was talking about is it needs to be saved with the "save optimized as" option, instead of the regular "save as".

At least that is what my Image Ready looks like, but I have CS 8. I figure that menu should be the same though.

When you go to save the file, do you click the dropdown menu at the bottom of the popup window and choose .gif format? Or do you leave it on .psd format?

Chew is referring to imageready. When you're using PS CS4 so you wont see that option.

This is how you do it, okay so take your animation. then go to file - save for web and devices. In Photoshop CS4 Extended it looks like this:

http://syckaudio.com/files/images/PS-sfw.jpg

And choose .gif

I just assumed Image Ready because that is where the animation part comes from, at least with CS 8. When I tried to "save for web" it in Photoshop the the gif wouldn't change.

You can create animations in CS4 though, It's fairly simple too. I explained in my above post, before the one with the image. It seems ssnipe either didn't see it, or didn't care Tell Me

What we think, or what we know, or what we believe is, in the end, of little consequence. The only consequence is what we do.

I'm guessing because he thinks it doesn't suck.

it's really easy stuff, also if you want to add buttons and stuff, the scripting is easy. But a flash animation can be a interactive one too
