I really thought that Bioshock was shit for a PC game but it seems like it would be a good console game. Def go with HL2 if you like puzzles and also go with portal if you like puzzles (or go with orange box and get both and tf2). Crysis is good for single player if your comp isn't insanely old (how hard it is on your computer is really exagerated). You should probably go out and get MW2 when it comes out in November since infinity ward makes decent games and so far the game play footage has been kick ass.

1: That's multiplayer.
2: It sucks BALLS.
Also, are you only interested in single player FPS's that are pretty new? Or are you interested in a broader variety of games? If the latter, I can list some games.

Oh, well, sure is FPS in here, then.
Anyways, here's some games, alot of them are older games but good nonetheless.
MDK2 (For PC and Dreamcast, re-released on PS2 but I personally recommend the Dreamcast version). Basically a third person action/shoot 'em up/puzzle/platformer game. It's very interesting and unique, not to mention FUCKING AWESOME.
Ecco the Dolphin (Sega Genesis, and its sequal, also on the Genesis... there's also the Dreamcast one which is a very beautiful game). Probably sounds weird, but trust me, it's a fairly interesting and different game.
Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire (N64, was also a PC release... very good game IMO).
Metal Gear Solid series (Well, haven't played MGS2, 3, or 4... but they all seem alike, so I recommend them.)
Disgaea series: There's 1 and 2 for PS2, pretty much the same except for story... it's a strategy RPG, fairly anime-y but also has some lulzy references in it. You'll either love it or hate it, but worth picking up. Never played Disgaea 3 (well, or the first one) but each one seems to best the other one, so if you have a PS3, pick up Disgaea 3.
Fire Emblem series: Fairly decent games, they started off on the NES and then carried over to the SNES in Japan, but the US/EU didn't get any Fire Emblem games until Fire Emblem 7... which was for the Gameboy Advanced (although they released Fire Emblem 6 for the DS... after 7, 8, and 9 lol). Still, fairly good series of RPG games, although they tend to be a bit linear.
MUGEN: Pretty much a community based game, it's essentially an engine for the computer that runs 2D fighting games. What makes it special, is that you can put in any custom character, and there's literally hundreds of thousands of them on the web, created by thousands of different users. If you're into fighting games, it's worth the fucking hours it takes to set up (it can be a pain in the ass...), but once you have it set up, it can prove to be fun to mix and match tons of different fighting game characters. Supports a 2v2 mode aswell, which is pretty nice for a fighting game. Naturally, since every single character (except for the one original character) is community made, there's going to be some imbalances. But fuck, who cares, it's fun.
Spyro series: Get the first 3 (Original Playstation ones). Very fun game series. I haven't played the ones past it, but I hear they're fairly shitty.
There's a few. I have some more, but, that should keep you occupied for now.
