ok i have the first decade and i cant find the registry folder like when i had xp it was in local machines software folder. any ideas how to find or add it? i have vista 64 bit

HKLM\Software\Wow3185Node\Westwood\Renegade
(NB: The numbers in the Wow3185Node part will be different to what I wrote, I am on my x86 laptop at the moment so can't check what they actually are but you should be able to find it)
(NB2: Run Renegade and the WWconfig tool in Admin mode or they will go into a virtualized registry location which is incredibly hard to find!)
