It would be cool if someone could write a script that made the game start after more than 1 person joined on the same team so you could play agaisnt the ai.

Just host a game non-dedicated, so the host is the lonely Nod player. All AI bots are on the same team as host.

Then make everybody else join for GDI against the bots and idle host.

Simple, will work just as you need it to.
