I was thinking, that what if
Edios, or
3D Realms, or
Sierra, or
Gearbox, or
Valve
Made Renegade(2)?
How would it look like?
Sierra, Gearbox, Valve- Well, from what I seen in Counter Strike, it (REN(2))would become just another counterstrike that would have bases and working wehicles(which would be absoultelly great, don't you think?)
I think that Edios would too make great game out of Renegade (2) their Tomb Rider, Theif, etc... are great games.
3D Realms -after making Duke Nukem, I think that they would make this game good too
Well, what do you people think?
I know that these companies will not make Renegade (2), but all that I am saying is: "What if?"
If you never heard, or never played any of the games that I mentioned, then don't reply to this post.

I've always thought about, back when Renegade was still pretty popular, that the whole Ren community would join up and make a Ren 2. I mean, if we had every scripter, modeler, mapper, skinner, etc. in the WHOLE Ren community, I think we could make a really cool game. But I don't think there are enough people who could cooperate.

If Valve made the game then it would be awesome. The single player would be absolutely fantastic, and the multiplayer would be decent. The mod potential would be through the roof so the multiplayer would eventually be totally kickass.
The HL2 engine would actually work really well for a game like Renegade. It can support huge maps, obviously great graphics, all types of vehicles, and it probably wouldn't be a big stretch to include destructible bases as well (I'm sure it could at least Ren's quality of destruction, but it would probably let you literally destroy the bases).
But Valve has better things to do then continue the series of a game that sold mediocre when they have about 3-4 extremely hyped series. The rights to the series isn't worth buying. The best hope for any kind of improvement to Ren is in mods for other games, which would be awesome.

that might be true, but as Beanyhead already pointed out. EA isnt going to even sell, let alone give away the Copyrights for C&C. If anyone other than EA attemped to make a sequel, EA would most likely swat away the deal for the rights.
