Everytime I save a file on my PC with XP in Gmax or RenX, When I try to open it again I get an error. And when I try to move it or delete it in windows exploror I get errors too. What gives.

Yes, I reinstalled them a few times.

I have XP and i dont *usually* have that problem, only when i make things that i actually want to keep :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I belive this is to do with the new patch they brought out to stop that new worm.

I just went out and got Windows Longhorn now mine works fine.

You might have to wait for Discreet to fix this with a new patch.

Goto control panel and click add/remove programs. Find the item called "The renegade mod tools" then click add/remove. Select the repair installation and it should fix any broken things you have. You won't loose any work or anything but it will load the default setting for RenX and replace any corrupted files. You may need the "RenegadeToolsInstaller2.exe" file to do the repair installation. If you do get it from the Westwood FTP.

ya when i read about the problem i was like, oh im shur glad i dont have this problem, next day i have to merg in all my saved work and when im in the open window renx crashed after 15 seconds of the open window being open!

Gen Havoc's method doesn't work for me, since the problem also occurs in regular gmax as well--not just RenX.

Blasted. I would think discreet would have come up with a better workaround and/or patch by now.
