What do you guys think bout this pc case?

I know its not cheap, but has tons of fans for great cooling, atx and also steel. so what do you guys think? worth buying it? or do you know one like this with great cooling

I have an Antec 900 which is like a predecessor and have had it for 2 years. I don't plan on getting a new case anytime soon.

I would never build an ATX Mid Tower. Full tower for life. I hate having to fix people's computers, but I ESPECIALLY HATE IT when it is a Mid Tower.

They're supposed to be really good cases, and a lot of people own them. However, if you think you need something bigger, you can check this out:

It's a couple bucks cheaper, is a full-sizer, has a ton of airflow for cooling, and is popular too.

I actually figured a top mounted set of ports would be more favorable if your case is on the ground, and it gives you a place to put your USB devices. That's the problem with cases: what one person thinks is great is totally sucky for another. Mr. Green

It would be convenient if if was on the floor but I dont know. I never bothered to wire them. My motherboard has 6 ports and I have a PCI card that adds two more. I've never been low and so didn't need those ones on top.

As for Firewire? I've got a great joke for you... Firewire. That's the joke.

I have this case, I recommend it. It's very big and roomy and has a lot of airflow.

The only negative points I have about the case are this:

1. The top has a fan, so it exposes the components on the inside. You need to be careful with water and liquids around it. You spill some, it goes right through the grill and fries your motherboard.

2. A lot of airflow means a lot of dust collection. You need to perform routine dust cleaning checks every month or so or else so much dust will build up that your PC wont run well or you will damage components.

I quite like my Hiper Anubis.... no fancy flashing lights and whatnot, just a solid, well constructed case. One point worth mentioning however is that your DVD drives won't be flush with the front bezel due to it's design, but since they are usually behind the front door thing it's not that big a deal. Power button, reset button and front panel audio / usb is on the top of the case so you don't need to open the door to get to them. No front FireWire though... although I have yet to find any device which uses that so I don't really care about it and my mobo has a FW port at the back anyway.

It's big, well built and very convinient. You can move the USB, Firewire and front audio header to any of the 5" bays. It is very easy to install drives and hard drives into the bays themselves, you simply attach 2 handles to the drive and slot it in.

Mid towers aren't necessarily 'bad.' They are just annoyingly small. Minis aren't that bad because they are designed to be small so things are easier to modify.

With a mid-tower, it behaves like a full-tower, but everything just seems to get in the way of everything else.

I remember in my older Mid-tower, I needed to remove my RAM from my motherboard in order to get the hard drives in and out. Mid-towers only give the room for the components themselves, not room for you to work. Because of that, you have to figure out the order of which part to install. You might put something in and be happy with it, then realize you need to take it back out in order to put something else in.

Full-towers are definitely the best way to go. They may be big, but they give you a lot of options and room to work. And if you get a nice design, they are good for room decoration.
