It's to generate hype for an upcoming film.

I dont exactly buy into this story but for the record the film was damaged and probably had to under go some restoration process. I mean, did u see the pic of the camera he claims took the pic ? Having developed my own film before I can assure you any restoration (esp done by amature) will yield funny looking pictures.

Oh, on second look, it said that in reference to that link...

Do not believe a WORD they say on this site!

Quote:

This shot was obviously taken just moments before something struck the plane. You can see the wing and tail of the plane as the photographer pointed the camera out the window back in the direction from where they had come. As the story at mountainsub.com states, the plane had obviously strayed into restricted airspace by accident due to engine problems. In the distance you can see what is clearly a chopper of some kind. But the plane was never escorted to an airfield as is stated on their site - it was simply blown out of the sky. There is an exhaust trail behind whatever it is that struck the plane. I imagine it must have been some type of missile. The chopper escort probably guided the plane a long way from the secret installation before destroying it.

That site said not to believe what http://www.mountainsub.com had to say, not what that site had to say...
