So, I've searched through the net, and this site, for answers to how to get Renegade to run on my Vista machine. The best option, so far, seems to be running it through Resurrection, as any other attempts to get it to run have met with instant and complete failure.
...but Renegade is failing me, too! I can launch the game via RR, and it will actually load, and I can even get into the game. But if I so much as *breathe* on a key on my keyboard, it instantly crashes. Not the mouse, mouse works fine. But I touch a key, even the spacebar during the intro movie, and the game instantly crashes. RR also fails to generate an error report, so I don't even have any hard data to share.
Any ideas? I'm vexed, and since buying the game YEARS ago (back when I had an inferior machine that couldn't run it properly) I have played the game a grand total of...ten minutes. Needless to say, *ANY* help would be greatly appreciated.
If any further info is needed (and I'm sure it is), let me know what is needed and I'll be happy to supply. Thanks in advance!
