Anyway to fix that annoying noise you get on your pc speakers when you get a call or tct on my cell phone short of buying new speakers if possible?

Wrap either your phone or your speakers in tin foil. That should do the trick.

Edit: Post pics if you do!

Buy speakers that cost more than $6.99.

I have 2 cheap, crappy sets (for like when friends come over and what ever) and I have this problem all the time. It is so very annoying. But I also have a couple quality sets and it never happens. I've also noticed that some phones seem to do it more than others too.

My speakers do this too, it lets me know several seconds ahead of time that someone's about to call me Wink

Mine where $320..

Also, I don't understand the problem you're having. Granted I only got my first cell phone no longer than a month ago.

Are you saying that when someone calls or texts you while your phone is near your speakers, you hear crackling noises?

That's so cool.. I got to try that!

I think what you're asking is something to look for in speakers that distinguishes it will not have interference from your cell phone?

You need shielded speakers. Generally they wont announce this on the box, but a good brand like labtec, logitech, creative, and high end expensive models will be shielded and shouldn't be a problem. I'd say you're looking at around 50-80 dollars?

You kow that's a bit of selfpwn right there?
It doesn't do that because:
A. rumors has it that the antenna of the iPhone isn't that good.
B. It probably uses 3G or w/e you have there in the USA, but not GRPS/EDGE. This means that it uses a different frequency which may very well be beter shielded.
