Seriously, this isn't self modesty, I am not very good at all really... It may appear that I know what I'm doing, but I am honestly not very good. I write bloated code and often pull stunts in my code that probably make people cringe when they read it. I tend to be of the mind of, "Well, if it works, then fuck it, it works...", this is not a very good mind set and often leads to bad habits that cascade through the solution.
I probably rank bottom out of all the people who write code on these forums. I'm serious about that.
Take sladewill for example, ATM we speak on MSN, he sometimes asks for a little help. But he is young and learning at a much quicker rate then I ever did. He will soon be better then I am, if he isn't already. His questions are more API specific rather then how to actually write code...
I have high hopes that he will be releasing nice stuff soon.
I think the only thing that perhaps separates me from some of the others is that I release the binaries of my work and the source code. I've never claimed to be a great coder, but at least my source is there to be judged, good or bad.
I appreciate the vote of confidence though. It's very endearing.
