no it was required by my comp to work so im pretty sure its microsoft

Also, get Chrome. It's made by Google, so you know it's good. Firefox is for people who like using their all their RAM to browse the internet.

Hmm, that explains a lot, and if what you say is completely true, then I might just move to IE8, that is, when it has been confirmed as working perfectly without serious bugs.
Though I am going to miss the no-script, Adblock Plus, and Answers extensions.
I wonder if IE8 has something similar.

To be honest, I haven't had any problems with Any IE since 5. It's just I've grown accustomed to Opera and later Chrome. I don't really understand the rage against IE. It seems sort of silly. There's probably a macfag behind it all.

Chrome is great on my Netbook, because it tends to handle Flash better than IE, because of my limited horsepower.
That said, the deal people make out of browsers is borderline hysterical because they're just dumb programs. What's next? People raging about the benefits of Notepad, versus its competitors? Sheesh.

If I ever found an actual reason to dl a thrid part explorer I would. Haven't yet.
Ever get those guys who RAGE against third party software but use a non ie explorer? They make me lol.

The only reason I use Firefox over Chrome is because: 1, Chrome is incompatible with a few things, Battlefield Heros as one thing, you can't play it on Chrome, I don't anyways(BF is boring...) but that's one downside to it imo, another is that I don't feel safe browsing without NoScript tbh, I haven't tried Opera(other than the Opera browser on my Wii) because I haven't found any need to try it.
