Currently, when you add game.exe in steam, and try to launch, it will result in the standard windows error. (Program has encountered an error and needs to close)
Could this be fixed please? 
By the way, I could not find a crashdump related to this.

Every so often, I get this positive feeling that humanity can somehow, possibly attain pure awesomeness, and enlightenment, and that there is light at the end of the road for us all. Its easier for alot of people who have all thier games launch through steam,Instead of having a million shortcuts on your desktop.
Plus theres a chat you can use ingame,and can start groups and shit with chat rooms.
easier to find cws with I think.

Hmm, eat my CPU (which I have plenty to spare) or randomly crash my game. I think I'll take the first option.
EDIT:
I added Renegade to Steam via "Add non-Steam game..." button, pointed it to a Renegade install with scripts 4, and I can confirm that launching Renegade via Steam does not crash on this Vista Ultimate x64 install.

I cannot confirm this for Renegade specifically, but launching the Red Alert: A Path Beyond Gamma internal version (which uses scripts 4.0) does not crash when launched through Steam on Windows XP 32bit. If someone could confirm that RA:APB Beta 1.2.0 crashes or not when launched through Steam this might answer the Renegade question.

create a folder on your desktop and move all the shortcuts including game.exe and game2.exe in it. problem solved.
