i wanted to play online the map "C&C_Islands" and my ren crashes
then i tried to play it offline and my ren crashes too

so i decided to delete ren from my pc and installed it again
now i hear menu sounds but cant the whole screen is black

whats the fukin problem??

THis goes to Renegade client section Dont Get It
And it's a script problem. do this:

-Delete Scripts.dll
-Make a copy of scripts2.dll and rename the copy to scripts.dll
-Deleate d3d8.dll
-Replace bhs.dll with the one attached

Try to launch ren, if it works. Install scripts 3.4.4

Damn, same thing happened to me. But I'm so used to installing ren, I didn't need the writing and shit. I just clicked and went thru it without the writing and somehow managed to install it lol Razz

I honestly have no clue what the problem is though. I installed ren one time, everything was fine. I had to end up reinstalling, that's when nothing was on the screen. The next time, same cd, the writing was there :/

I honestly have no clue what the problem is. After you uninstall, try deleting your whole renegade folder after and see if that works. Not too sure why it would, but doesn't hurt to try :/

scripts 3.4.4 cause really big problems sometimes, out of nothing. Or it crashes when u get in a vech, or it displayes nothing in the game (black screen), or it simply closes when u press a button 0.0 strange

This is a different problem, which is solved simply by restarting.
