Ripping is illegal AFAIK if there is a copyright on it.
I don't know about the topic though (if you mean the one with cnc3 stuffz) since EA released packs by theirselfs containg textures, 3dsmax models, UI textures and alot more. So if these are the same it wouldn't be a problem.
I voted "YES" but if these textures are indeed the same as in the packs EA released, it isn't illigal. Not very usefull you ripped it than though

It depends on a lot of factors, such as whether they were copyrighted to begin with and whether your usage of them is subject to fair use regulations.
General speaking ripping copyrighted material from any computer program to use in another program, or any other sort of product, is illegal, regardless of whether you make profit from that product. On the other hand using them for a youtube parody video would usually not be illegal.

That's right. I forgot to tell earlier that it isn't illegal for personal use, only when you release ripped stuff to the public or use it in games or mods you make it is!

Uhm Yazoo just to inform you: if you use what i think you use delete it. It sucks and EA has given out plenty of stuff in their packs. That is what i use >.>
