Wimps take sick days when they don't absolutely need to. I hate to be so blunt but working with people who take sick days sucks.
I had perfect attendance all through school. I rarely if ever miss work(work over the summers).
It's simple. You stay up to late you get your lazy ass up in the morning. There's no thinking about it because theres no option. You just do it. You make others lives harder when you call in sick.
I run my own business and have for several years. My family also owns several fast food restraunts. It pisses me off when people call in sick because either my parents or I have to go in and work. That means I get called into work at 9 am on saturday morning after getting home from a night of drinking till 5am.

When I was a manager at a warehouse, the worst days were Saturday's, because you knew that one or two morons would call in sick. It got to the point that I went to bed at 10pm on Friday nights because I knew I'd be woken up by the phone at 6am to come in.
