I have a laptop and the scripts will not run, work, etc. I have cp2 for sure, reinstalled renegade didnt help. I have the First Decade. Any ideas?

How does it "not work"? Describe what happens when you try to run ren with scripts.

Windows XP, the BHS.DLL option will not appear, and on st0rm extreme aow, some of the features part of the scripts which the server runs do not work, for example the vehicle limit. Without the scripts, after about five vehicles built, those without the scripts can't buy a vehicle, but those with it can. I can't buy vehicles therefore the scripts are not working in some manner.

Please illuminate us as to how it is not working. The words you are currently using could mean that you opened the installer file in Notepad, printed it out, set it on a wooden table, burned the few thousand pages of "random gibberish" that were on said pieces of paper, took a picture of the ashes, tried using OCR on said picture to attempt to reconstruct the original installer file, then ran saved file and it gave you an error message. Be specific, please.

I figured it out, the installer has it set to the file directory
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Renegade\Renegade
it needs to be installed to this directory
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Renegade(tm)\Renegade
