Humans are at the top of the food chain for a reason. But that doesn't give us the right to act all superior to other animals.

We don't owe other animals anything. We should do what we want with outher animals just as long as it isn't endangering our existence.

I mean, obviously beating an animal within an inch of its life is wrong.. animal or human. I mean, we should be able to hunt/kill/eat any animal we want to without a second thought. It's how the world is designed to work.

Mix R315r4z0r's and Canadacdn's opinions and you have my thoughts on this.

I volunteer at an animal rescue center, I'm clearly anti-animal cruelty - just source your meat from organic certified farms.

lmao, u think that's bad??? what humans do to animals!!?!!?!?
u should see what they do to other humans first, then u should go give a shit about animals
i will always eat meat.
wow, slaughter animals while conscious ...OMG!!!!.ummm. what ur gonna waste money on drugging every single animal!?!?! ya, i dont think so specially since the drugs can stay in the meat and end up in us...the humans
now do u really want us to fall asleep while eating a burger Razz

btw i am against animal cruelty , but there is a difference between cruelty and life, did u ever see how lions kill their preys? is that not cruel?
what about hyenas , they attack from behind and start tearing away at the back (ass area, probably eat the balls first)
is that not cruel
EDIT: oh btw, i forgot to add, the limb movements after the throat slitting is not voluntary, its actually just a bunch of reflexes generated by the spinal cord.(can be seen with headless chickens if u ever saw one jumping around after losing its head)
the brain is deprived of oxygen and quickly loses feeling for anything and cant command its body.
i just watched the rest of it, sick animals must not be classified as ok to eat, thats how mad cow disease started and all the other diseases like it

these are the times when ur like why God WHY!!!???

The animal kingdom is cruel, but at least a lion only kills to survive, and it is usually quick.

Amen.

Anyway, I can't help but thinking this "cruelty" is a part of a vast minority out there and is just fodder for PETA.

I can't see how that justifies humans torturing animals.

Im a vegetarian; im not agaist eating animals, its just my own personal choice.

The main problem is that most people don't appreciate what they are eating, which in turn makes them ungrateful.
When I did eat meat I treated it preciously. Unfortunatly alot of people (mainly the ignorant ones) insult their food.

As for animals being cruel to their prey, I have the intelligence to give animals a choice of wether they die quickly or slowly and painfully (supposing I did hunt animals).
This choice determines wether you are good or evil. Maybe Hyenas are natrually evil but we Humans have a choice.

Of course alot do choose to be cruel/evil, its sad really.

i find it ever so slightly amusing that the topic creator is from Turkey, and one of the posters above who's opinion is essentially "meh.." is from Hungary.

The Quick Read Paragraph:
This video was not pleasant to watch. I'm not a vegetarian. I see nothing wrong with eating animals but i am opposed to unethical practises/torturing; I go for free range stuff because of this.

At least kill the bloody thing before you skin it. Kill it by cheap means or something. And slamming a pig against the floor to kill it is clearly just an atrocity. There must be a cheap way of killing things.

If the authorities made it compulsary to fix issues presented in the video, such as anaesthetics, that'd be good for everyone; The animals suffer less and the farms don't loose money paying for anaesthetics because every farm has to.

The American system, is truly horrible, not sure if this is the only country in the world that treats their animals this way, but it is no good. Hey good find. I would sighn petitions that forbid things shown in that video you found.
