I just reinstalled renegade onto my computer after deciding to give this game another shot. However, every time I try to load it, windows says that the program has stopped. I'm running Vista 32bit and changed the comparability to run it as XP SP2 and administrator. Still no luck with the original renegade build or its latest patch. The same error occurs with renguard 1.037, here are the error details:

Get my launcher tool from the post linked in this forum's FAQ and try it. You should also turn off any "Compatibility Settings" when you are using it as Renegade doesn't really need them...

but how do i save it to another diractory with out it being in a folder because when i install it it makes a seprate folder outside my program files

Copy/paste just the files inside the folder into Renegade's main folder.
