It's unusable if you want to see what's happened a while ago because every time there's a new message, it drops back to the last received message.

Meh, that should be enough of a description. Fixable? Should be rather easy?

Or am I missing something?

You can also use the existing chatlog feature. Just bind a key to 'ChatHistory' via keycfg or keys.cfg

I hate that too, when it scrolls down when someone types and you can't find anything Sneaky

It is annoying. The way that it should work is that if you aren't scrolled all the way to the bottom of the chat log, it shouldn't bump you down every time someone posts. But if you are all the way at the bottom (or the newest message) it should automatically scroll when a new message is made.

^^ if you have scripts.dll 2.9.2 or above, you can do this. The ChatHistory will take up the entire screen, and you'll be able to control the scroll. However, that screen won't update with new messages until you exit and re-enter.

That's exactly how it works in TT currently. Smile The chat history key way is of course still possible too.

Yay, thanks for being so cool. Thumbs Up

And yeah, that's exactly how it should work.

Another problem with the chatting. When it's somewhat busy (and someone spams radio chat) it happens that not all of the chat is seen on the main screen as in, there's a buffer of sorts that determines how much is drawn on screen and when it's full, the latest messages won't show.

Possible to increase the size of that buffer so all messages would show? Smile

Possibly, can't promise anything about this though.
