Two guys are at the Hastings District Court in New Zealand. One of the guys, Regan Reti, has just been sentenced to two years in prison for assault. The other, Tiranara White, has just been convicted of stealing a car and violating parole. They were handcuffed together and led out of the court house. That's when it happened.

They make a brake for it. Even though they fall over and get pepper-sprayed, that wont deter them from freedom. They get back up, and continue to run. But then....

They foiled their own getaway when they ran past opposite sides of a light pole, slammed into each other and fell to the ground!

They were apprehended as they struggled back to their feet. They're due back at court on Thursday.

Caught that one on the news the other night... instant classic. We'll be seeing Youtube reruns of this one for decades. Very Happy

"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived of the use of them." - Thomas Paine

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.

PNG supports 1, 8, 16, 24 and 32-bit colour while GIF only supports 8-bit plus 1-bit transparency.
Bit depth: Colours
1 : 2 (either transparent or not transparent for 1-bit transparency)
    8 : 256 (GIF maximum)
    16 : 65,536
24 : 16,777,216 (maximum viewable on normal monitor)
32 : 24 bit colour + 8-bit transparency = best image quality visible on your monitor

The main reasons to use PNG and not GIF is not because of the colour-count but because PNG is smaller than GIF and is supporting a free-image format compared to a proprietary one.

EDIT:
APNG will use the whole colour-spectrum, thus fixing the stuffed-up look of animated or static GIFS

I could watch that all day.

Also, I never heard of APNG before. Sounds interesting.
