Sometimes when I'm playing renegade, this shit happens:
Sometimes it doesn't do this, but my screen goes black/gray and I have to alt+tab out and back again to fix it.
Anyone have the same problem?

I had something similar happen once, it was a program I had that changes my background every 3 minutes, and when I was ingame and it changed my wallpaper it would screw up the colors. Try making sure there are no programs running in the background and interfering with your game.

If you don't try how do you know? Perhaps one of the texture files is corrupted and therefore causing issues with DirectX. Heck, if your that bothered about keeping your advantage skins zip them up while you test it or something.
Also worth deleting all your .thu files to see if that helps, they get automatically generated again anyway next time you load the map, so even if it doesn't help you haven't lost anything.
