Hello my fellow renegaders. This is quite possibly the wrong place to post it, but i'm going to do it anyways.
I have a bit of a problem with scripts.dll. So far the people I've asked haven't been able to help me so now i bring it to you guys here on the forums in the hope of getting it solved.
On my laptop i'm running vista. I have scripts 3.44 installed. I have a scripts folder in both the "renegade" folder, the "data" folder, the "level edit" folder and the "mod" folder in leveledit. Now despite all of this, i can't see any scripts in level edit. This is quite a issue for me as my other pc is packed away (and stationary so i can't really bring it around) and i need access to said scripts.
Any idea what could be causing it ? I'm thinking it could be vista securiy, but i am running level edit as administrator.
Thanks in advance.

I dont think it has to do with that stuff.
If you run leveleditor without administrator rights it cannot use the c:\program files\leveledit folder to modify or save or mayby use scripts.
What you can try is the following. Inside the your user (Where windows stores documents/downloads etc) There is a folder called app data mayby it needs to unhidden not sure.
This should contain a virtual store folder. Basically this is the storage folder for any program that tries to modify or add stuff in program files. In there should be a near exact tree of the one in program files but then with data that programs store. (Basically programs that store stuf inside their folder in program files isnt good).
In the virtual store should be your leveledit modpackage and all the other modified data. Leveledit also uses this folder to save stuf!
I would try to install the scripts in there. (It is just the same as you would do normally but then in the virtual store)
Or you could try to run level edit with admin rights but that might cause unwanted problems when you run it without it.
I hope this makes it a bit clear for you if not just respond.

Now that I read it for a second time...I think I might know the problem with your Program Files folder. Vista is using the UAC (User Account Control) which only allows people with administrator right to change certain things within certain folders (like systemroot, program files etc).
The thing to do here to use leveledit while it's in your program files folder, is to disable the UAC function. To do this go to:
Control Panel > User Accounts > Enable/Disable Account Management (it's the bottom option) > Uncheck the box and save settings.
Now vista will shut up about certains things. It will no longer pop-up those annoying boxes you get when you try to copy files to certain folders and some more stuff. (Most likely you won't have to start applications as administrator since the restrictions have been removed)
Edit: It would be handy if someone stickied this post for future reference. There are still a lot of people who don't know how to solve things in vista.
