Can a message be displayed when you are banned or kicked, a message that shows the reason you were banned or kicked, cuz when you are you can't see why Huh

also a message like "the message of the day" with the button quit instead of ok (not necessarily Very Happy

)

actually i got banned only 1 time for breaking a rule (which didn't have to be a ban Angry

) .. and i don't remember being kicked.. i'm trying to be friendly not to cause trouble Rocked Over

i mean to the kicked person, cuz mainly what happens is that you run around with the connection lost to server Huh

The motd can be disabled by the server admin by leaving it empty. The regulator can send a page to the banned user including the ban reason.

On a somewhat related note, is the bug where if you get banned then you can't see pages going to be fixed? It's very annoying.

And one a somewhat related note, is the start button bug fixed?
(or is that caused by something else entirely?)

What I mean is that for some reason, some servers can't always be joined because the start button won't light up. Now that I think of it, it sounds more like a server side problem..

If I'm correct, he means where you are just idling on the XWIS Advanced Game Listings, and someone pages you.. sometimes all you hear is the "yo" and the popup doesn't appear with the message you received.

No, actually I think he means the bug if you get banned from a server and someone pages you, you hear the "yo" but no popup message, unless you meant that?

If you hear "yo" it has to be client side and thus fixable. We can only have a look at it if you can tell us how to reproduce the glitch. Smile

Put three players in a server. (or two, and the no gameplay pending patch)

Ban player A from the server.

Players B and C (still in the server) should now page Player A.

Player A (now on the XWIS advanced game listings screen) will hear "yo" but will not see the message on his screen.

Interestingly if you then quickly join another game you see the pages that were sent on the joining server screen IIRC, so it's not that they are not being shown, but that they are simply hidden behind the server listings interface I think.

That's weird. That would mean if you get kicked somekind of 'ghost' of you stays in the server so you can still receive the Page Confused

You probably receive the page jsut before the eviction, but the eviction comes so quickly after it that you don't ahve the time to see the message so it goes to the background and won't go away till you join the next server.
