I googled some of the renegade programmers, and found this:

Looks to me like the two lead programmers of Command & Conquer Renegade and some other games built some robots.

Guess what i'm gonna build next vacation... A remote controlled Stealth Tank, about the same size as that Chameleon, maybe a bit bigger Blush

Just don't include stealth feature. You'll lose it allll the time.

It's the same reason I can never find my goddamn stealth suit. Put it somewhere one day, turned my back for 2 seconds and then it was just not there. :[
