It's one thing to actually DO it but to view it?! Doesn't that go against the constitution or some law or something?
|
I guess it's kind of "supporting" it in a way, which can be about as bad as the actual act.

Understandable but besides the point, none the less.
If someone out there enjoys such.. strange.. things, they should have to ability and the approval to stimulate that joy as long as he/she isn't physically and directly involved in the crime.
Seriously, if it's a crime to look at animal porn or child porn or what be it, then it should also be a crime to play violent, murderous games, watch movies that involve killing innocent people, reading books about the mafia, or listen to music that talks about raping women...

R3, I am sick of your liberalism. You don't get it do you? Child porn requires REAL children to perfom the hideous acts. Think man.

About the article, I grinned at the sicko's turmoils at the hands of the government.

No, you don't get it. All he's saying is that he doesn't see why the viewer should be punished for an act that does NOT affect anyone else but him. Murder is illegal, but there are surveillance videos of people murdering others. Should watching these videos be illegal as it perpetuates a demand for such videos? Yes, I realize that the purpose of child porn and surveillance videos are distinctly different, but the act (not purpose) of watching said videos isn't.
While, I do agree that watching such videos is essentially condoning the act, it is still not COMMITTING the act. I would argue that the viewer of child pornography is just as fucked up as the person creating it, but the actions are what separate it from being a crime and an immoral perversion.
whoa.

What's funny is that I don't consider myself a Liberal... in fact I voted for McCain... lol.
Watching said things is not committing the act. Watching the video may or may not be indirectly responsible for the demand of people committing said crimes, but that in no way should be the care or concern of the person watching the video or looking at the image. As long as you aren't doing and/or somehow apart of, and/or a witness of the illegal act, you should be able to watch or view it being done by someone else.
What I mean is this.
It should be illegal to:
1. Commit said crimes physically.
2. Directly assist or aid someone else in committing said crimes. (Such as being the camera guy or simply donating to people who commit such crimes)
3. Witness said crimes (physically or through a medium) with complete undeniable knowledge that it isn't an act, and not report them, or else be held as an accomplice. (Such as being an audience member viewing the crime as it is being committed, be it through physical means or through some media like digital video. (Meaning if you tune into this crime being done live, and you know that the people aren't acting but are physically committing a crime, then you are put in a spot were you must report it to the authorities or else be held as an accomplice)
That is it. If I was to go onto google, right now, and look up bestiality porn or what have you, then save the images to my computer, I, in no way shape or form, should be liable for the acts committed in the images and/or videos that I collect because I personally did nothing to contribute to the person committing that crime. For all I know or care to know it could be faked, unreal, or even already be being investigated.
..err I'm no good at legal talk, so forgive me if you couldn't understand me through my run-on sentences...

Obama zombies aren't exactly 100% scholarly folk either. On each side of the coin you'll find your brainwashed dumbasses, but judging by who won it's clear to tell who had more.
