This topic is all about blocking those anoying fucking ads that: A: Are just there and you don't want to see them, read them, download them, and yes hear them!!!!!!!!!!!!! And B: You just don't want to see them flashing the shit out of your moniter like a disco ball. They keep getting worse and worse!!!!!! Well there is a solution now, if you didn't know already, thought this was new to me. If you use Firefox (If you don't you fail.). you can get this great addon to block ads and prevent them from downloading into your browser. Another **great addon is this blocks those damn flashing ads if the first addon didn't kill it. I hope that you use them or at least some of them. Thought this will probably increase your surfing speed because you don't have to download that useless crap. Here is a list of other great addons.

Redirect Remover read more from the link.

Unhide Passwords read more from the link.

Show I.P. read more from the link.

Password Maker read more from the link.

I hope that these help you out. Thought they helped me post if it helped you, as for me I really like them and need them.

I have been using AdblockPlus for years now, another good one is NoScript, it prevents JavaScript, Flash, Java etc from running on any site unless you explicitly give it permission.

Tbh I would not at all recommend anyone to use any programs to stop ads, all you really need is Firefox and the Adblock plus plugin, and the NoScript plugin helps also.

Keep killing the internet guys... I don't support ad blocking measures at all. It's the same as DVRs. I despise them because eventually, quality tv and internet will just go away. The moneys got to come from somewhere. Why would a company WASTE money on an ad people will just skip. They wont. Then why would cable providers buy a show from a television production company? They wont. Then why would those production companies produce shows if they cant sell them? They wont. It trickles down to killing your own interests off. It's the same with the internet... Unless you are Google.

I am all for advertising, however I object to having my bandwidth and time wasted downloading hundreds of mb of fancy flashing pictures and crap. I never block text based ads because they don't noticably slow down the loading of the page.

You've have got to be kidding right, who would want their browser full of advertisement, do you realize that some website only exist for the the sake of making money off of your clicks?. Why give them money and besides that only distracts you from what you are searching for on the internet doesen't it. As far as the addons for Firefox, they are just great besides, **if** you really **do** like some of the advertisements you can just unblock them but telling others or to discourage downloading these gread addons is not the way to spread your message about viewing ads now is it.

This, specially when ISPs are starting to tinker with bandwidth caps (at least here in the US).

Normally I don't mind ads as long as they're not a splash page (looking at you, GameSpy network), not one of those audio "Congratulations, you've just won fifty iPods!" annoyances, are incredibly desperate for attention, or crafty pop-up/pop-under ads. Wait, did I just describe the majority of ads? Crap.

Why would I be kidding? If my browser space has to be shared between ads and content I am fine with that for this reason: Without the ads what incentive is there for someone to put that content up for everyone to see and pay for it? Very little. That is why I'd rather share screen space between content and ads rather than have an ad free browser with no content at all. I'm not some communist idiot who thinks its wrong for people to make money. Why shouldn't there be sites who's goal is to make money?

Yet you directly quoted him, which almost always indicates that you're addressing him.

I got the point, back to the topic how is it that they accumulate so many posts in such short amount of time, it must be hacking.
